Alice in Chains performance was the polar opposite to Jane’s Addiction’s showing. From the moment Cantrell and company stepped foot onto the UPROAR stage, they offered a tightly-knit display of musicianship. Opening with “Check My Brain,” Canttrell’s sludgy riffs tied together the heavy rhythm of Sean Kinney on drums and Mike Inez on bass. William DuVall has fully come into his element as vocalist, leading them through classics “Man in the Box,” “We Die Young” and “Down in a Hole” alongside the more recent “Stone” and “Hollow” without missing a beat.
